On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at 7 PM, new editions of the Ivo Pilar Institute of Social Sciences were presented at Batarija Fortress. These are three books from Pilar’s ‘Youth in Society’ series, whose titles clearly indicate they address current social issues and topics in the sociology of youth and their subcultures. The presented books include: Dino Vukušić’s City, Street, Park, and Bench, Sociology of Youth (Sub)cultural Practices in Zagreb; Marita Ukić Zeman’s Sport or Lifestyle? Freestyle BMX; and Vanja Dergić’s None is Better Than Our Politics: Forms of Political Engagement in the Punk Scene. Sociologists Marko Mustapić and Benjamin Perasović spoke about the books.
